I got the chance to see Paul Rand while I was in college in the mid 90s - he had mentioned that Ford contracted him to re-design their logo. He submitted the logo, but they didn’t accept it. He then told us that it was locked in a vault for no one to see. I was happy to finally come across it via Kelvin Ower’s Flickr stream.
